About Me

I’m a Los Angeles-born fine artist, illustrator, storyboard artist, musician and filmmaker. I’ve spent my whole life exploring the surreal, the dark, the strange, the humorous and the beautiful through various facets, often finding that I am the most expressive when I’m going against my own preconceptions of what art “should” be.

My favorite tool has always been the ordinary ballpoint pen, which offers infinite possibilities and styles through its deceptively simple design. Although I’ve recently expanded into other mediums, including paint and digital art, I find endless intrigue and mystery in using ink to venture into my subconscious, bringing a hyper-refined rendering technique to forms that otherwise don’t exist, or filtrations and distortions of familiar imagery.

I’ve storyboarded numerous short films, commercials and TV pilots, often working closely with directors to create the visual language for the project, rather than robotically drawing out a shot list. My creative impulse in this line of work is fueled by my passion and analytical interest in filmmaking, which pervades through all my creative outlets. I studied film at Hussian College In Studio, where I had an unusually hands-on learning experience working on projects every week using industry-standard equipment and practices, on an active studio lot.

Through the exploration of my other greatest passion, music, I’ve written, recorded and performed with my band Clove. I’ve also recently toured as a lead guitarist with artist KALI, and worked as a session musician for other bands.

Thank you for checking out my work, and if you want to get in touch, feel free to drop me a line here.
